Common questions

Is this a quote?

No. It is a range built from prices that installers, cost guides and New York and New Jersey programs publish. An installer sets the real price after seeing your home, your electrical panel and your ducts or radiators.

Do heat pumps work in New York winters?

Cold-climate heat pumps are rated to keep heating well below freezing, and New York's Clean Heat program requires cold-climate equipment for its larger incentives. How a system performs in your home depends on sizing and installation, which is why an installer's load calculation matters.

Why does my electric company matter?

In New York, heat pump incentives are paid through each utility's NYS Clean Heat program, and the amounts and status differ by utility. In New Jersey, the utilities run their own programs. We show what your utility lists today.

Is the federal tax credit still available?

The federal heat pump tax credit (25C) ended for systems placed in service after December 31, 2025, so we do not count it. State and utility incentives are listed separately.
